It’s one of those recipes that you can always fall back to when you need something quick and delicious. Another advantage is that this recipe makes enough serving for 10 persons, meaning you could host a large enough gathering and wow them away with this. Although I prefer this for dinner, you can have three cheese beef lasagna for lunch. You must give this a try!
Total cook time: 1 hr 5 mins
Yield: 10 servings
What you need
1 lb. ground beef
1 jar RAGÚ® Old World Style® Traditional Sauce
1 container part-skim Ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded part-skim Mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 large eggs
12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
The Process
Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F.
Step 2: Cook ground beef in 12-inch skillet until it’s brown. Drain the fat out, then add the sauce and stir in, then heat through.
Step 3: Combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and eggs in large bowl and then set aside.
Step 4: Spread 1 cup of meat sauce in a 13×9 inch baking dish. Layer 4 lasagna noodles, then 1 cup of meat sauce and ½ of the cheese mixture. Repeat the layering process and top with the remaining 4 noodles and sauce. Remain about ¼ cup of cheese mix.
Step 5: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and then sprinkle with the remaining cheese mix and bake again, uncovered this time, for 5 minutes.
Step 6: Allow lasagna to cool for 10 minutes then serve.
Tips:
Ricotta cheese often tastes bland. So you may add some salt, pepper and even dried rosemary to give it some taste.
Use a deep baking dish to get a bulky lasagna.
