Who doesn’t love bacon? Bacon, with a nice, juicy glaze on it, is great, and something you won’t be able to get enough of.

With this recipe, you’re getting chicken that’s glazed with a bacon glaze to make it sticky and sweet, but along with that, you’re also getting the crock pot benefits of this, in order to make you really enjoy the full effects of this.

This is a great one to make if you’re curious about trying this, and if you’re someone who wants to have something started by the beginning of the day, and ready by the time you get home to make this taste amazing, and really bring a unique flavor to all of this.

Ingredients:

6 large Chicken legs, bone in, skin on (can be removed if you wish)
1/2 C Ginger honey (can substitute regular honey)
1/8 C Molasses
1/8 C Sugar (can substitute brown sugar)
1/2 C Soy Sauce (low sodium can be substituted)
1 tsp Siracha (can add more if you wish)
1 tsp Grated Ginger
1 TBSP.Cornstarch
1 TBSP. Water
Seasonings: Seasoned Salt, pepper and garlic powder – sprinkling as desired

For the glaze:

6 slices bacon, chopped
1/4 cup Honey
3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce

Steps

Add cornstarch along with water together into a bowl, whisking it together until everything is smoothed out. Then, put it to the side

Add in the honey, the molasses, the soy sauce, the sugar, the ginger, and then, the siracha (you can leave out this if you don’t want it to have a heat to it)

Boil all of this, and then, once the mixture is boiled, add in the water and cornstarch slurry so that the sauce gets thick, and then, you can push this off the heat.

Take the bottom of the slow cooker and add parchment paper to line it for cleanup that’s easy, and also to avoid a sticking to the bottom of this.

Add in the pepper, the salt, and the garlic to the chicken legs

Put the legs within the slow cooker, and then, top it with the glaze just created, and about half a cup of the water.

From there, cover it with a lid, and then, cook this on high for around three or so hours.

When this is done, season it to taste, spoon it out, and then, serve it!

Can I cook this one on low?

You can but try to cook it then for about 6-8 hours.

Some people like the high cooking because it means they don’t have to spend a s much time waiting on it, but if you’d like a thicker gravy to this, or a chicken that’s a little bit softer, this is a good way to do it, and it’s something that does work wonders if you’re a fan of this.

Can I Store It?

You can! You can store this in a microwave-safe or a plastic container, and then, when you’re ready to eat it, you can put it back in the slow cooker, and then cook it for a little bit to heat this up, usually about 30 minutes or so. alternatively, you can also put this in the microwave and cook it faster, but it does affect the texture if you do that, so bear in mind the implications of this, and what it might mean for you if you do it this way.
