Steak Fajitas :
Ingredients
โ 1 pound flank steak, sliced into thin strips
โ 2 tablespoons olive oil
โ 1 onion, sliced
โ 1 red bell pepper, sliced
โ 1 green bell pepper, sliced
โ 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
โ 3 cloves garlic, minced
โ 1 teaspoon ground cumin
โ 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
โ 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
โ 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
โ Salt and black pepper to taste
โ Juice of 1 lime
โ Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
โ Flour or corn tortillas, for serving
Preparation
1. Marinate Steak: In a bowl, combine the sliced steak with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
2. Cook Vegetables: Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender and slightly caramelized. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. Cook Steak: In the same skillet, add the marinated steak strips. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the steak is browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
4. Combine: Return the cooked vegetables to the skillet with the steak. Add the lime juice and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.
5. Serve: Serve the steak fajitas hot with tortillas and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired. Enjoy!
