Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak :
Ingredients
โ 1 pound ground beef
โ 1/2 cup bread crumbs
โ 1/4 cup grated onion
โ 1 large egg
โ 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
โ Salt and pepper, to taste
โ 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
โ 1 cup beef broth
โ 1 tablespoon soy sauce
โ 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (optional, for thickening)
Preparation
1. Prepare the Patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, grated onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Shape the mixture into 4-6 patties.
2. Brown the Patties (Optional): In a skillet over medium heat, lightly brown the patties on both sides for added flavor. This step is optional but adds extra depth to the dish.
3. Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and soy sauce. If you prefer a thicker gravy, you can whisk in a tablespoon of flour.
4. Add to Slow Cooker: Place the patties in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over them.
5. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the patties are cooked through and tender.
6. Serve: Serve the Salisbury steak with the gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Enjoy your hearty and comforting slow cooker Salisbury steak!
