A harmonious blend of sweet and tart sour cream complements the delectable tastes of crushed pineapple, marshmallows, crushed mandarin oranges, coconut, and maraschino cherries in Ambrosia Salad. This flexible meal enables you to personalize it to your liking by adding nuts or leaving them out.
One eight-ounce tub of Cool Whip (light is acceptable) is required.
half a cup of sour cream, mild is OK.
1 and a half ounces of drained mandarin oranges
Twenty ounces of crushed pineapple, drained; ten ounces of maraschino cherries, drained, halved, and dried
1 cup of sugar-coated coconut chips
2 tablespoons of little marshmallows
half a cup of chopped nuts (dried fruits, seeds, or nuts of any kind) Not required but recommended:
To make the Sugar Solution, dissolve the sugar in 1 cup of water by mixing 2 teaspoons of sugar with 1 cup of water in a basin. If you want to catch flies, you need this sugary solution.
Include Apple Cider Vinegar: Mix in half a cup of apple cider vinegar. The vinegar aroma makes the trap even more appealing to mosquitoes and flies.
Several drops of dish soap may be added to the mixture. Any bug that falls on the dish soap’s surface will become stuck because the dish soap breaks the surface tension.
Before you set the trap, choose a spot where mosquitoes and flies are common. Put the bowl there. The bugs are drawn to the sweet and sour aroma, but the soapy concoction will suffocate them.
Why This Version Is Effective:
Like many successful DIY traps, this one employs a mixture of sugar and apple cider vinegar to entice flies and mosquitoes. Pests that come into touch with the liquid will be unable to flee thanks to the presence of dish soap.
Why Natural Solutions Matter:
In homes with children and pets, it is best to avoid using chemical repellents and instead use natural options, such as this handmade trap. These solutions may be inexpensive, easy, and good for the environment.
