Runza Casserole :
Ingredients
โ 1 pound ground beef
โ 1 small onion, chopped
โ 2 cups chopped cabbage
โ 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
โ 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
โ 1 teaspoon garlic powder
โ 1 teaspoon salt
โ 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Preparation
1. Cook Beef and Onion: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain any excess fat.
2. Add Cabbage and Seasonings: Stir in the chopped cabbage, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the cabbage is wilted and tender.
3. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
4. Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of a greased 9ร13-inch baking dish, sealing any perforations to create a solid crust.
5. Add Beef Mixture: Spread the cooked beef and cabbage mixture evenly over the dough.
6. Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the beef mixture.
7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
