Pizza Bowls :
Ingredients
For the Pizza Bowl Base:
โ 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
โ 1/2 onion, finely chopped
โ 1 cup pizza sauce
โ 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
โ 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
โ 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
โ 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
โ 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers (optional)
โ 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
โ 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
โ 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
โ Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Pizza Bowl Crust:
โ 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
Preparation
1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Grease a muffin tin or oven-safe bowls.
2. Cook Meat: In a skillet, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
3. Add Onion: Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened.
4. Combine Ingredients: Stir in the pizza sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
5. Prepare Biscuit Dough: Roll out the biscuit dough and cut it into circles that will fit into the muffin tin or oven-safe bowls. Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of each tin or bowl to form a crust.
6. Assemble Pizza Bowls: Spoon the meat mixture into each prepared dough crust. Top with shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. Add pepperoni, black olives, bell peppers, and mushrooms if desired.
7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
8. Cool and Serve: Allow the pizza bowls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm! v
