Instructions:
- Prepare the Ganache:
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream and unsalted butter over medium heat until it starts to simmer. Do not let it boil.
- Remove from heat and add the white chocolate chips. Let it sit for a minute to allow the chocolate to melt.
- Stir until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
- Add Flavorings:
- Stir in the orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- Chill the Ganache:
- Transfer the ganache to a bowl and let it cool to room temperature.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until the mixture is firm enough to handle.
- Shape the Truffles:
- Once the ganache is firm, use a small cookie scoop or your hands to form small balls (about 1 inch in diameter). Place the truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Coat the Truffles:
- If you’re using graham crackers, place the crushed graham crackers in a shallow bowl. Roll each truffle in the graham crackers until coated.
- If you’re using orange-flavored candy coating, melt according to package instructions. Dip each truffle into the melted coating, allowing excess to drip off, then place back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- For an extra touch, you can also sprinkle orange-colored sprinkles on top before the coating sets.
- Chill Again:
- Refrigerate the truffles for about 30 minutes to let the coating set.
- Serve:
- Enjoy your Orange Creamsicle Truffles chilled or at room temperature.
These truffles are perfect for parties, holiday gifts, or just a sweet treat for yourself. Enjoy!
