In truth, there’s really no magic to it. Making salmon patties is really simple and the end result is just yummy! Its flavor is sublime and it’s really healthy too. Ingredients
6 ounces pink salmon
2 tablespoons diced onions
Salt and pepper, just little quantities
1 large egg
1 tablespoon buttermilk
2 tablespoons cornmeal
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Canola oil
Directions
Step 1: Completely drain, and de-bone the pink salmons. Then shred it with 2 forks
Step 2: Combine the shredded salmons, onions, salt and pepper in a bowl. In another bowl, beat the egg with milk, then combine the egg-milk mix with the salmon mix. Add buttermilk, cornmeal and flour and mix till they combine well.
Step 3: Heat ¼ cup of canola oil in a medium sized iron skillet over medium heat. Drop spoonfuls of the salmon mix and flatten a little.
Step 4: Fry each side for about a minute or until the brown crust forms. Take out and place on a paper towel to drain the excess oil
Step 5: Serve delicious salmon patties, with any toping of your choice.

Tips:
When frying the patties, avoid flipping multiple times and moving them around. Flip once, allow to stand still till they turn brown. This will prevent the formed cakes from falling apart.
