I have had “boozy” milkshakes and I absolutely love them. This is a less thick version, but it is incredible and perfect as an after-dinner drink/dessert – an all-in-one to perfectly finish a meal. I am a fan of many varieties and renditions of chocolate martinis, and this is an upgraded version. Now, I will admit that this is probably more appropriate when you have a dinner party but there is nothing wrong with enjoying one anytime, even by yourself at home, right?! They go down so easy, and it is perfectly fine to have two. More than two might be too much in the sweetness department but that is entirely up to you.

It is so creamy and smooth and the chocolate and caramel on the rim with pecans is elegant and fabulous. Plus, the chocolate nugget is a lovely addition! It is so delicious, and you may forget that it is an alcoholic beverage! I love having the ability to make drinks at home that are artistic and look challenging to make but are not difficult. To whomever created this drink, thank you!

I have found a few other recipes for “candy bar martinis” and I may have to get supplies and do some taste testing. For now, you will not be disappointed with this dreamy treat!

Ingredients

1 oz. (30ml) Vodka

2 oz. (60ml) Amaretto liqueur

3 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream

1 Tbsp. Dulce de Leche (either canned or homemade – your choice)

1 oz. (30ml) Chocolate Syrup (plus some to swirl with caramel syrup for rimming)

Caramel Syrup

Crushed Pecans

Hershey Chocolate Nugget

Preparation

Rim the edge of a glass with a chocolate/caramel mixture and then crushed pecans.

Drizzle chocolate syrup in the martini glass.

In a blender, combine vodka, Amaretto, chocolate syrup, dulce de leche, and vanilla ice cream

Garnish:
Hershey Chocolate Nugget – score on the bottom with a knife and slide onto the rim of the glass.

Notes

• Vanilla vodka is delicious so if you find the martini too strong, vanilla vodka will help to tone down the vodka taste and impart more vanilla flavor.

• If you do not have glass rimmers, just use small plates to put the chocolate/caramel and crushed pecans on to rim your glasses.

• Use any type of bar glass that works for you! I am notoriously clumsy so I cannot have anything with a stem.
