Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 can (8 oz) sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 can (14 oz) chow mein noodles
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Brown the beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef with diced onion and celery until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Mix the sauce: Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the drained water chestnuts to the mixture.
Layer the casserole: In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread half of the chow mein noodles on the bottom. Pour the beef mixture over the noodles.
Top it off: Sprinkle the remaining chow mein noodles on top for that signature crunch.
Bake: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and heated through.
