This is a great casserole dish that’s perfect for those nights when you sure don’t want to cook, or you need something that the whole family will love. Yes, even the kids will love the taste of this one, because it’s so good, so tasty, and it offers a succulent flavor that’s savory and really beefs up the taste.

It’s really cool, and the ingredients are to your discretion. You can make the recipe as simple or as complex as you want it to be, and some people can use their creative liberties to make a fun dish.

It’s great because it involves a lot of ingredients you already have on and to help create an amazing, tasty taco casserole dish.

Ingredients:

1 c beef broth

2 cloves garlic minced

10.5 oz. cheddar cheese soup

2 c shredded cheddar cheese

1 oz packet taco seasoning

4 c potatoes sliced

1 lb. ground beef

Steps

Heat up a skillet on medium-high heat, ad then put the ground beef into their cooking this until it becomes brown and crumbled.

Put the garlic in there next, sauteing this until it starts to have a nice smell to it. Get rid of the grease that accumulated in there.

Put cooking spray or any cooking grease into a crockpot to ensure nothing sticks.

Put the potatoes on there on slices near the bottom, creating a layer that’s singular for the base of this.

Add the beef over this, spreading this in an even manner.

From there, top this with the taco seasoning, seasoning this over your beef.

Put the soup over the top of the beef mixture.

Add the cheese to the top of it, creating a small, sprinkled mixture

Add more beef broth as needed to everything. Make sure there is enough cooking liquid for this.

Put a top on the book and have everything cook for up to 5 hours on low, or if you’re using high heat, make sure it’s about two hours for that.

Let the casserole rest for a little bit at room temperature before you spoon this out and then serve it!

Tips

Can I broil the casserole?

You sure can! You can add cheese, and then broil this for about a minute or so until the cheese is a nice, golden brown color. Again though, this is at your discretion and it does make the cooking time a little bit longer.

How do I do leftovers?

Leftovers are best left in the casserole dish that you cooked it with. While it’s rare to have leftovers, you can put this in the fridge on a shelf, and when it’s ready, take it out, add a little bit of beef brother as needed, and then let this heat up for about an hour in the slow cooker. Alternatively, you can also use a microwave to heat this up a bit faster, and you can put it in a Tupperware container.

What else can I add to this casserole?

Virtually anything! You can add more spices, more veggies, even more cheese and different meats. Some people like to add chorizo to this for a kick. Peppers, tomatoes, and other veggies work too.
