What you need
5 cans of green beans, drained
12 slices of bacon, chopped, cooked to crisp and drained
⅔ cup brown sugar
¼ cup butter, melted
7 teaspoons soy sauce
1½ teaspoons garlic powder
How to Prepare
Step 1:
Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan with non-stick cooking spray. Put the drained beans in a 9 x 13-inch pan and set aside
Step 2:
Place the chopped bacon in a cast-iron skillet and heat over medium heat until the bacon browns on one side. Then flip over to the other side and repeat the browning process
Step 3:
Mix the browned bacon with the beans in the pan.
Step 4:
Mix the brown sugar, butter, soy sauce and garlic powder in a medium bowl. Then pour this mixture over the beans and bacon in the pan.
Step 5:
Place the pan in a preheated oven and bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes
Step 6:
Take out from the oven, then toss to get everything well mixed and coated. Serve and enjoy.
Tips
- This recipe is for 8 servings. If you need to upgrade or downgrade the servings, then you have to be careful to mix all the ingredients proportionately.
