Crab Salad :
Ingredients
โ 1 pound crab meat (fresh, canned, or imitation)
โ 1/2 cup mayonnaise
โ 2 tablespoons lemon juice
โ 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
โ 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
โ 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
โ 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
โ 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
โ Salt and pepper to taste
โ Optional: 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill or chives
Preparation
1. Prepare Crab Meat: If using fresh or canned crab meat, gently drain and check for any shell pieces. If using imitation crab, shred or chop it into bite-sized pieces.
2. Mix Dressing: In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
3. Combine Ingredients: Add the crab meat, chopped celery, red onion, and parsley to the bowl. If using, add the dill or chives. Gently fold everything together until well combined.
4. Chill: Cover and refrigerate the crab salad for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
5. Serve: Serve the crab salad chilled as a light lunch, appetizer, or on top of greens. Enjoy!
