Blackberries are in season, and they taste amazing. Not just that, they come in a unique cobbler form, which truly does impact the way that this tastes. If yo9u really like the taste of blackberry you’ll want to add this.

It’s best if you can use fresh blackberries for the right texture and flavor of this.  You can use frozen but do keep in mind that they might need to be thawed out, and they also might need to be drained before you start with this.

This is best served with some ice cream, or a whipped cream to create the perfect, unique touch that you will get to enjoy as well.

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups fresh or frozen (thawed and drained) blackberries (do not use blueberries)
1 cup sugar
1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
Cream, whipped cream or ice cream, if desired
