Quick, easy to make rolls, requiring little ingredients. Very delicious non-fluffy rolls, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

We all love cinnamon rolls and virtually everyone has a cinnamon roll recipe that they hold on to tightly. But what happens when you can’t find the time or enough flour and yeast to whip up your cinnamon roll recipe? How do you satisfy your cinnamon cravings then?

Well, meet my little friend Mr. Bisquick Cinnamon roll. This guy’s quick to make, inexpensive to make, smells super good and tastes like unicorns in your mouth. Unlike your regular cinnamon rolls, this recipe needs no yeast or eggs, meaning that they feel more like biscuits, and are excellent for people with egg allergies.

Prep Time: 40 minutes total
Servings 12 Rolls

Ingredients

For the Cinnamon Roll:
1.4 tablespoons granulated white sugar
2.1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
3.2 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
4.2/3 cup Milk
5.1 tsp Vanilla extract
6.2 tablespoons butter, melted

For the glaze:
1.1 cup powdered sugar
2.2 tablespoon milk

How to Prepare:

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees, then grease an 8×8 square baking pan with cooking spray and aside.

Step 2: Mix 2 tablespoons of granulated white sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl and then set aside

Step 3: In a large bowl, mix bisquick baking mix, 2 tablespoons of sugar, milk and vanilla. Mix well until dough forms properly. If formed dough gets too sticky, add more baking mix

Step 4: Sprinkle some baking mix onto a pastry mat. Gently roll the dough onto the coated surface, then shape it into a ball and knead 10 times. Afterwards, use a flour coated rolling pin to spread the dough into a 15×9 inch rectangle

Step 5: Spread melted butter on the dough and then sprinkle cinnamon-sugar combo (from step 2) evenly onto the dough

Step 6: Roll the dough tightly into a log, following from its longer side. Pinch the edges after rolling to seal it and then cut the roll into 12 equal pieces. Place the slices with the cut side downwards on the greased baking pan

Step 7: Bake for about 25 minutes and then allow to cool for about 5 minutes. Take the rolls out of the pan afterwards.

Step 8: Add the ingredients for the glaze in a small mixing bowl and mix well till you achieve a smooth consistency.

Step 9: Pour the glaze over the warm rolls and voila! You have your delicious bisquick cinnamon rolls to serve warm.

Variations:

·You could add walnuts or pecans to add a delicious crunch to your rolls

·You can make a variation of the glaze using cream cheese and lemon zest frosting, which is just as delicious as the sugar glaze

·For a more refined palate, try cardamom instead of cinnamon, and infuse your dough with orange juice, zest, or flavoring.

Tips:

Don’t overmix the bisquick and the buttermilk. Mix just until it is combined.
