A southern favorite, but this time, in a casserole form! With the amount of layers, and the savory, amazing flavors that come with this, this is a recipe that’s incredible to say the least, and it’s mouth-watering, and truly amazing as well.
This is something that’ll make your mouth water, and from the moment you take this, you will enjoy it.
He best part, is that you can put this in the fridge when you’re done, and when you want to eat it, you can just cut a slice, reheat it, and then from there, you’ve got an amazing dish just waiting for you, which makes it one of the best for those interested in making a fun, breakfast casserole that really does do it justice.
Ingredients:
8 count packages of biscuit dough (we used Grands, which are slightly bigger)
6 eggs
1 (2 3/4 ounce) package peppered gravy mix (makes 2 cups)
1 lb. sausage, any flavour
1 cup cheese, shredded
1/2 cup milk
salt and pepper to taste
Steps
Preheat your oven to 350. While this is heating up, get a baking dish, and then put cooking spray on the inside of this.
Turn on a skillet, and then let this heat up to medium heat.
Put the sausage on there, cooking this in the skillet until everything is greasy and browned.
Take the biscuit dough, and then slice this into small cuts that are about an inch or so.
Put the biscuits on the bottom portion of the pan that’s prepared.
Take the sausage, and then layer this on top of the biscuits.
Take the shredded cheese you have, and then sprinkle a large amount of this on top of the sausage.
Get a tiny bowl, putting the eggs, milk, pepper, and salt together, stirring all of this so that everything’s nice and mixed together. Take the milk mixture and then from there put this on top of the biscuits.
Take your gravy, cook it based off the cooking instructions provided, and then make it, putting this over the biscuits, sausage, and the milk mixture.
Take this and then put it inside your oven, baking this for about 35-45 minutes, or until the eggs and the biscuits are cooked and complete. You should be able to see them in the opening in your oven to decide that.
Take this out of the one, placing this on a rack so that it cools down to be able to be sliced and handled, and to let the eggs settle in

Tips
How can I keep this for later?
We did mention at the top that this is a recipe you can keep for later. The best way to do this, is to take the mixture, put some foil over this, and then put it in the fridge. This is good for up to a week in the fridge. When you’re ready to eat it, you can remove it from there, slice it, and then reheat it.
You might want to add more cheese to it, but overall the ingredients work well in this fashion, and offers you a chance to have something convenient for dinner.
