Baked Barbecue Chicken Thighs with Onions 🍗🧅

– 4-6 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on 🐔
– 1 large onion, sliced 🧅
– 1 cup barbecue sauce 🍖
– 2 tablespoons olive oil 🛢️
– 1 teaspoon smoked paprika 🌶️
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 🧄
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 🧅
– 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme 🌿
– Salt and pepper, to taste 🧂
– Fresh parsley, chopped (optional) 🌿

Preparation 🍳
1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Rub them with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.

3. Arrange the Onions: Place the sliced onions in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Arrange the seasoned chicken thighs on top of the onions.
