Ingredients

Cinnamon Apples

2 apples peeled, cored and diced into small pieces

3 tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Monkey Bread

1 ¼ cups sugar

3 ¾ tsp ground cinnamon

2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough

¾ cup + 2 tbsp salted butter, melted, divided

½ cup packed brown sugar

½ tsp vanilla extract

How to prepare

Step 1:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease the fluted tube pan or bundt pan generously with baking spray. Then combine the apples, brown sugar and cinnamon and toss together, and add about ⅓ of the apples to the pan. Leave it and set aside.

Step 2:

In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon and set aside. Then cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Melt ½ a cup of the butter and dip each biscuit piece into the melted butter, while you shake off the excess, then coat the biscuit well in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Step 3:

Add the biscuit pieces to the prepared pan. You can change between adding the biscuit pieces and cinnamon apples, about ⅓ at a time. This should make three layers of the apples and three layers of the biscuits.

Step 4:

Combine the remaining 6 tbsp of melted butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract and pour evenly over the top of the biscuits in the pan. Allow to bake for about  45-55 minutes or until it is golden.

Step 5:

Allow to cool for about 15-20 minutes in the pan, then remove and place onto a plate.

Step 6:

You can serve it warm and enjoy it.
