Ingredients

โ 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
โ 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
โ 2 large eggs
โ 4 cups all-purpose flour
โ 1/2 teaspoon salt
โ Filling:
โ 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
โ 1 cup brown sugar, packed
โ 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
โ 2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
โ Glaze:
โ 1 cup powdered sugar
โ 2 tablespoons milk
โ 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
1. Prepare Dough: In a large bowl, dissolve the granulated sugar in warm milk. Sprinkle the yeast over the milk and let it sit for 5 minutes, until frothy.
2. Mix Dough: Add the melted butter and eggs to the yeast mixture and stir to combine. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
3. Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
4. Prepare Filling: In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
5. Roll Out Dough: Punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a 16ร12-inch rectangle. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the diced apples evenly over the filling.
6. Form Buns: Roll the dough tightly from the long side to form a log. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces and place the slices in a greased 9ร13-inch baking dish.
7. Second Rise: Cover the baking dish with a clean cloth and let the buns rise for 30 minutes.
8. Bake: Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Bake the buns for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
