Ingredients
Biscuits:
🥣 2 cups all-purpose flour
🧈 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
🥛 3/4 cup buttermilk
🥄 1 tbsp baking powder
🧂 1 tsp salt
Gravy:
🥩 1 lb breakfast sausage
🥣 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
🥛 2 1/2 cups milk
🧂 1/2 tsp salt
🌶 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Preheat Oven: 450°F (230°C).
Make Biscuits:
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in butter until crumbly.
Stir in buttermilk until dough forms.
Roll out and cut biscuits.
Place on baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.
Cook Sausage: Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Do not drain.
Make Gravy:
Sprinkle flour over cooked sausage and stir for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.
Cook until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve:
Split biscuits and top with sausage gravy.
