Ingredients:
For the Salisbury Steak:
– 1 pound ground beef 
– 1/4 cup bread crumbs 
– 1/4 cup grated onion 
– 1 egg 
– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder 
– Salt and pepper to taste 
For the Garlic Mashed Potatoes:
– 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced 
– 4 cloves garlic, peeled 
– 1/4 cup milk 
– 2 tablespoons butter 
– Salt and pepper to taste 
For the Mushroom & Onion Gravy:
– 1 tablespoon olive oil 
– 1 cup sliced mushrooms 
– 1/2 cup chopped onion 
– 2 cups beef broth 
– 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 
– 1 tablespoon soy sauce 
– Salt and pepper to taste 
Preparation:
1. Prepare the Salisbury Steak:
– In a bowl, mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, grated onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. 






– Shape the mixture into 4-6 oval patties. 
– In a skillet over medium heat, cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside. 
2. Prepare the Garlic Mashed Potatoes:
– In a large pot, cover the diced potatoes and garlic with water. Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes. 


– Drain the potatoes and garlic. Return to the pot and mash with milk and butter until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. 


3. Prepare the Mushroom & Onion Gravy:
– In the same skillet used for the patties, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and chopped onion. Cook until softened and browned, about 5-7 minutes. 


– Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and onions, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. 
– Gradually stir in the beef broth and soy sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and pepper. 


4. Serve:
– Place the Salisbury steaks on a plate, top with mushroom and onion gravy. Serve with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. Enjoy your delicious meal!
