1. Prepare the Apples: Peel and core the apples, then cut them into thin strips, about the size of fries.
2. Set Up Breading Station: In a shallow dish, combine the flour with a little salt and pepper. In another dish, beat the egg. In a third dish, mix the granulated sugar with the ground cinnamon.
3. Bread the Apple Fries: Dredge the apple strips in the flour, then dip them in the beaten egg, and finally coat them with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. For extra crunch, you can also coat them with breadcrumbs after the cinnamon-sugar layer.
4. Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Arrange the apple fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray or brush with cooking oil. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the apple fries are golden and crispy.
