Nutella Swirled Banana Bread
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 over-ripe bananas, mashed
- 3/4 cup Nutella
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugars:
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs and Bananas:
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract and mashed bananas until well combined.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Prepare Nutella Swirl:
- Microwave the Nutella for about 20 seconds to soften it. Transfer 1 cup of the banana bread batter to a separate bowl and stir in the Nutella until well mixed.
- Layer and Swirl Batter:
- Spoon half of the plain banana batter into the prepared loaf pan. Add spoonfuls of the Nutella batter on top, then spoon the remaining plain batter over it. Use a knife to gently swirl the batters together.
- Bake:
- Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top starts to brown too quickly, cover it loosely with foil.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
