INGREDIENTS

1 tbsp olive oil

1 large onion, chopped

1 ½ pounds ground beef

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp red pepper flakes

½ tsp Italian seasoning

1 pinch salt and pepper to taste

1 small head cabbage, chopped

2 (14.5 oz) cans diced tomatoes

1 (14.5 oz) can tomato sauce

Steps

Get the olive oil and add that and then heat this in a heavy pot that’s large or in a Dutch oven. Cook the onion and stir this in there for a few minutes, usually about five or so for best results.

Take the chunks of the ground beef, and then put these inside the pot. Stir this while you cook this, breaking this down further and further into tinier pieces, until the beef is totally browned, about 5-7 minutes or so.

Put the beef mixture that’s seasoned along with the red pepper flakes, the garlic powder, the Italian seasoning, and a little bit of salt to it. Put the cabbage in next.

From there, add the tomatoes along with the tomato sauce into there. Let the whole mixture sit there and then boil, and then take this ad put this on a lower heat, until the cabbage is so tender that you can nibble it with a fork.

This is usually about 25 minutes, and from there, add the salt and the pepper to this. Serve it immediately.
