Although pretty basic, shrimp pasta is a great one.  This is because, shrimp is a great alternative to chicken, if you’re trying to steer away from that. This one also comes with some unique flavors, courtesy of the herbs that you’re going to have with this.

The best part is that it doesn’t take a long time, and you’ll be able to prepare this quite easily, and when it’s time to eat, you’ve got a great dish.

Although this is not a good one for keeping in the fridge, it’s still a wonderful one if you’re looking for an easy pasta dish that’s right there, waiting for you.

Ingredients

1 lb medium shrimp, deveined and tails removed

1 lb spaghetti noodles (more or less, depending on family size)

6 -8 garlic cloves, according to personal taste, minced

1/4 cup butter

olive oil (3 drizzles)

Italian seasoning

Fresh ground pepper

Red pepper flakes

salt

herbs (according to taste)

Steps

Take the pasta and then boil this inside the water, al dente or until it’s tender. Drain this but use a cup of the water for this pasta for later on. I like to add the oil, the herbs, and the salt to this whenever I boil it to add more flavoring to the pasta, but you can do it however you want to.  Put this to the side once finished.

While the pasta cooks, you want to wash your shrimp. Take the butter and then melt it over medium heatness in the saucepan, and then, let it fully melt. Put the shrimp in there. Cook the shrimp pieces until they become a pinkish color and they begin to curl. Add the garlic to this next.

Cook this shrimp for around 5-7 minutes, and then add the oil to this. You want to make sure the shrimp is curled and pink, stirring this constantly as it works.

Put the pasta inside the skillet itself, and then, add the seasoning to this. You want to make sure that with the pasta water, you add enough water so that the liquid isn’t super dry, but it’s also not making the liquid completely waterlogged either.  It may require half a cup, or it may need more.  you should start with minimally a quarter cup of this, and then add more from there.

Toss the ingredients that are in this skillet until everything is properly incorporated and hot. Let everything soak up all of the water so that it’s all nice and in there.

Put this each inside one of the plates you have and then serve!

Tips

How much water do I normally need?

this ultimately depends on the shrimp you’re using, and how you like your pasta. If you like your pasta to be more dry, then add less water. If you like it to be a little bit more moist, and a little more creamy, then you can add more water.

Whatever the case, there is always a lot of benefits that go with this, and you’ll be able to, with this, adjust the pasta how you want, so that it doesn’t get waterlogged or anything when you try to eat it, and also helps create a tasty, garlicky shrimp pasta that you will be able to enjoy.
