I admit that I am not accustomed to making a dessert using only three ingredients – but I am not afraid to try something new that not only sounds divine, but it is also incredibly easy! I am notorious for always having a dessert ready. My mom always had something fabulous for us to have for dessert and it was almost always something baked. I happily take after my mom!

Fruit cobbler is one of my favorite desserts and I find this mixed berry one incredible because the different berries, with slightly different textures and tartness, take this from a delicious cobbler to a spectacular cobbler. Then, when you take into consideration how easy the recipe is to throw together, you will be making this cobbler often. During the summer, I make this several times a week.

Living in the South I have learned that Sprite is a quite popular ingredient in baked sweets. Of course, Coca Cola, Dr. Pepper, Cheerwine, and Orange Fanta also find a place in recipes for incredible cakes and other baked goods. In this recipe, Sprite (7-Up or any lemon-lime soda will also work) compliments the simplicity and brightness of the berries perfectly.

This one is a definite keeper and after you make it one time, it will be in your memory, and you will find yourself pulling out the three ingredients a whipping up a mixed berry cobbler in a flash. That is what I do, and my family always is thrilled!

INGREDIENTS

2 1/2 cups mixed frozen berries (or any other type of frozen fruit you like)

2 to 2 1/2 cups Sprite (or other lemon-lime soda)

1 box white cake (or yellow cake mix – whichever you prefer!)
