Who doesn’t love garlic bread? There’s so many great things you can do with this, and here, we’ll give you a recipe to make the best garlic bread that’ll have others at the table begging for more, and also, will make you proud that you knew how to create some of the most killer garlic bread out there.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 tsp. kosher salt

2 tbsp. freshly chopped parsley

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, softened

1/4 c. grated Parmesan

1 baguette or French bread, cut lengthwise

Steps:

First, preheat your oven to 425 and then put some foil on a sheet to bake.

You need to then make the garlic butter compound. Get a bowl that’s small, mix the butter that’s softened with the salt, the garlic, and the parsley until everything combines

Get the bread, cut it out, and then, put that garlic butter liberally on these slices. Top it with some parmesan

Bake this until the bread nicely toasts, and that you see a little bit of gold along the edges, usually about 10 or so minutes

Tips

How much garlic is on these?

Yes! In fact, don’t be afraid to go a bit crazy with the garlic on this. One of the best things about this is that you can usually use a lot of this.  Two cloves for a single loaf of garlic bread is more than enough, but if you’re a fan of garlic, don’t be afraid to add more to that recipe as well.

What’s the secret to making the perfect garlic bread?

Tons of garlic is probably the first thing you must do, since this is what makes this really have that wonderful taste that people love. The second thing is you want to use shredded parmesan that’s fresh to melt this, and you’ll definitely be amazed. Just make sure that if you’re going to have this, have some mints for after the fact on hand as well, or if you like garlicky breath, then fine, don’t have that around.

Can I use this for anything other than sides?

Here’s what’s cool about garlic bread. You can have this as a side for practically every pasta dish you can think of, and all pasta dishes thrive with a side of garlic bread. But what’s really cool, is you can also use this as two slices for a sandwich to create Italian subs or meatball sandwiches if you have two slices and want to incorporate those.

You can also just use some marinara as well to dip this to create the best snack out there.

Is it good as a leftover?

Yes, it’s great as a leftover, if you have that at least.  The way to do this is to put the bread in a sealable plastic bag, put it in the freezer, and as long as you use it over the next few months, you’ll have something available. If you’re holding onto this, make sure to put them at 375 in the oven until crispy and thawed too.
