I really enjoy a savory breakfast cake that is simple to create and even delicious to eat. One of those cakes is this! This breakfast is one of my children’s favorites. What could be better than cake for breakfast? It’s a lot of fun to turn it into a savory breakfast!

Bundt Cake Breakfast is a quick and easy way to make a filling breakfast. It contains all of the best elements that we would use in a typical breakfast. Eggs, ham, bread, cheese, and… whatever else you desire! It’s definitely worth a shot!

Total prep time: 1 hour
Yield: 8 servings.

Ingredients

1 heaping cup ham; diced in 3/4″ cubes
2 cups spinach; chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or minced garlic
large pinch cayenne
2 cups shredded hash browns (I used frozen)
8 cups bread; diced in 3/4″ cubes
1/4 cup green onions; chopped
12 large eggs (I used 8 jumbo eggs)
2 cups of milk
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 cups shredded cheese

How to Make

Step 1: Fry the spinach in a pan until it withers. Remove and fry the hash brown in the same oil until it turns golden. Stir the hash brown constantly as it fries, and add salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2: Layer respectively in a baking dish: half sliced bread – ham – spinach and green onions – hash brown – half grated cheese – remaining bread.

Step 3: Beat the eggs with milk, cream, salt, and spices and pour everything on the layers in the baking dish. Press lightly and leave for half an hour to absorb.

Step 4: Sprinkle the layers with the remaining cheese and then bake for 40 minutes at 400 degrees. Pierce with a knife to check if baking is complete. cover with a flat plate and turn over.

Step 5: Cut into portions and serve.

Variation:
You can replace the ham with bacon or kielbasa. Fry until golden brown before use.
