Awesome pecan pie made without corn syrup. This sweet pie is an excellent dessert to serve your family at thanksgiving
Pecan pie is a holiday go-to recipe and so often, you can tweak it as you like and still come up with something awesome. This time around, the tweak involves not adding something, rather than adding something new, and you’ll find your pie to be just as awesome.
This pie is made without corn syrup. I know we’ve all been conditioned to see corn syrup as such an essential component of the pecan pie, but you should try making it without – it’s almost heavenly! This pie has an amazingly crunchy top layer which adds to its deliciousness, and then the insides are soft and chewy. The cinnamon flavor adds a knock to this cake and makes it all the more lovely. After tasting this pie, you’d wonder why corn syrup became such an important ingredient in them.
I’ve made this pie for my kids and I sent a batch over to my sister’s last thanksgiving. The reaction is always delightful! This recipe is almost guaranteed to be a family favorite and you must have this on your recipes bucket list. Making this pie may take some time, but the results make the time well worth it.
