Made with blueberries and basic pantry ingredients, this easy to make recipe is a delight to your taste buds. An excellent dessert to satisfy all of your cravings.
Blueberry cobblers are awesome to say the list. When you talk about class-A desserts, you’d be missing out if you fail to mention this recipe. It’s a big warm bowl of sweet comfort that quite simply can do no wrong. Whether you want to use fresh or frozen blueberries, you’ll still have the desired outcome. It’s simply that good.
Isn’t it true that everyone has their own “family” cobbler recipe? A church handbook full of cobbler recipes belonged to my childhood church. My mother cooked a lot of them as well.
This blueberry cobbler screams “summer” to me! You can prepare it ahead of time or serve it hot from the oven with vanilla ice cream. Whipped cream on top is also delicious!
Total prep time: 1 hour

3 cups fresh blueberries
3 tablespoons white sugar
½ cup orange juice
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch salt
½ cup butter, softened
½ cup white sugar
1 egg
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
How to Prepare
Step 1: Pour blueberries, 3 tablespoons of white sugar and orange juice in a square baking dish (about 8 inch), mix thoroughly till well combined. Add flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl, mix thoroughly and then set aside.
Step 2: Add butter and ½ cup of sugar in a medium sized bowl and blend well until it becomes light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract and beat together. Then gradually add flour mix, and stir while adding until ingredients are well combined.
Step 3: Use a round tablespoon to take scoops of the batter and drop over the blueberry mixture, covering as much of it as possible.
Step 4: Bake in a 375 degree preheated oven for 40 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. Take out and serve warm

Tips:
Blueberry is best served warm right after it’s baked. If leftovers, store them in a airtight container for up to 5 days in the fridge. To reheat, allow the stored blueberry cobbler to first come to room temperature, then bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
