4 INGREDIENT DISH

Get ready to taste the best chicken recipe in the world! I usually prepare this in the morning, refrigerate it and once I get back home, I bake it! It tastes even better this way. But you can cook right after preparing it!

Either way, you’re going to get the very best chicken dish that your taste buds have ever seen (or tasted). The crazy thing about this recipe is that it only requires four (4) ingredients. That’s a good thing but what it also means is that each and every one of those ingredients is important and absolutely irreplaceable to the recreation of this recipe. So, if you don’t have any of them on hand, you’re going to have to make that trip to the nearest grocery store because all these ingredients are easily obtainable.

Another thing we love about this 4 Ingredient Chicken dish is that it is one of those chicken recipes that take less than two hours to recreate. Yes, people we’re talking about 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes at most. After that you’re going to have the best chicken you’ve ever tasted ready to be served!

Weight watchers will be interested to know that this 4 Ingredient Chicken dish only contains an estimated 275 calories per serving.

Check it out.

Ingredients :

All you’ll need in order to recreate this amazing dish are the following four (4) ingredients:

8 chicken thighs (you can use the whole chicken or other parts).
1 package of dry French onion soup mix.
1 (8 oz) bottle of Russian dressing.
1 small jar of apricot preserves.
One important thing to note before you start with this recipe is that all the quantities of ingredients stated above can only give you a maximum of eight (8) servings; and that’s not even considering on the voracious appetite of the people you’re going to be serving. This is not a drill. So, if you’re looking to feed more mouths, or you just want to make more servings for the fun of it, you’re going to have to tweak this recipe a bit.

Now, don’t fret. People have been tweaking recipes to fit their needs since the beginning of time. But for this 4 Ingredient Chicken recipe, increasing the number of servings is a little more complicated than adding in more chicken thighs, or adding another package of dry French onion soup mix. Each and every single one of the four ingredients stated above has to be proportionately increased.

It’s easy but we are aware that things can get tricky in the kitchen very fast, especially when you’re working with a new recipe, so we’re giving you the opportunity to consult us if you hit any snags in the course of tweaking this recipe (or in the course of recreating it, in general). Feel free to leave your message in the comments section of this blog page and we’ll be sure to get back to you.

But bear in mind that we are not the recipe ER so, our getting back to you might not happen as soon as you’d like. But it will happen. Eventually.

What you’ll need:

You don’t need much by way of equipments in order to recreate this 4 Ingredient Chicken dish. All you’ll need are:

An oven (preferably one that is oven-regulated. You can’t escape using an oven as this is a baked recipe).
A baking pan (one that is large enough to conveniently fit all your chicken).
Cooking spray
A bowl (one that is large enough to fit the ingredients)
Baster

How to :

We like to give our readers one tiny recommendation at the start of all our recipes. Except, it’s not really tiny, and it can be a backbreaking herculean task for some people, but for others it can be a breeze. That simple recommendation is that you clear your cooking/ baking surfaces (plus the inside of your oven) of all clutter. A clean counter top and cooking area is not only good for hygiene; it’s great for your range of movement. And you can measure out the needed quantities of your ingredients into those little ceramic bowls like they do on TV.

So, go ahead and do that. But do NOT mix any of those ingredients together until the recipe tells you to, because there is always a technique to that.

Are you ready?

Take a deep breath and relax.

In a bowl, mix together the dry onion soup mix, the russian dressing and the apricot preserves.
In a baking pan, arrange the chicken pieces, season with pepper then pour the sauce over the chicken and coat.
(You should prepare the baking pan beforehand with cooking spray or grease in order to prevent bits of the chicken from sticking to the pan. Not only will failing to prepare the baking pan reduce your portions but it can create a nightmare during cleanup. Another thing you should do is let the chicken pieces stay a while – just for a few minutes – in the seasoning before you begin baking, to allow it soak in all the flavors.).

In a preheated oven to 400°, roast the chicken for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes depending on the chicken.
Baste many times during cooking.
(Basting is the simple act of pouring the juices in the baking pan over the roasting chicken inside the oven, over the course of the roasting session. You’re going to need oven mitts here, as well as your chicken baster.)

Bonne Appétit!
(Remember: Serves a maximum of 8)

Easy, peasy and delicious! This chicken is a must-try! Trust me, once you taste this you won’t get enough of it. I serve this with a side dish and a tossed green salad. Give it a try, it’s worth it.
