Orange Dreamsicle Salad is a delicious family dessert salad that’s ideal for potlucks, barbecues, or simply as a snack. It only takes a few minutes to prepare this dreamsicle salad, and then it chills until ready to serve. This is the ideal no-bake dessert dish.

There’s always a dispute over whether or not this is a salad, but I feel that since it has fruit, it qualifies. The majority of the time, we serve this during the main course of a meal. This can be served as a side dish during dinner or as a dessert afterward, depending on your meal plan.

Ingredients

1 box orange Jell-O
1 box instant vanilla pudding
1 cup boiling water
½ cup cold water
8 ounces Cool Whip
14 ounces mandarin oranges, drained
1 cup mini marshmallows

How to Prepare

Step 1: Add orange Jell-O and boiling water in a large bowl, and whisk until the Jell-O is completely dissolved. Add cold water to the mix an then place in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes

Step 2: Take the Jello-O mix out of the refrigerator, and then add vanilla pudding to it. Whisk slowly until it becomes creamy, and then chill for another 20 minutes.

Step 3: Fold in Cool Whip, and some of the marshmallows and mandarin oranges, then refrigerate for another hour for it to set. Take out of the fridge, add the remaining marshmallow and oranges and then serve and enjoy.

Tips:

If you’re unable to get Cool Whip, you can make a homemade whipped cream. However, unlike Cool Whip. homemade whipped cream does not remain healthy for long and melts quickly.
Ensure that you store in the refrigerator in an airtight container

The recipe can be adapted to your taste. If you want more fruity flavors, you can add the fruits that you desire
For people on a diet, you can use sugar-free Jell-O, sugar-free pudding, and fat-free Cool Whip to save calories.
